Ο Pharrell Williams αναβιώνει τους N.E.R.D. και συνεργάζεται με τη Rihanna για ένα νέο κομμάτι που ονομάζεται “Lemon“. Το tarck έκανε ντεμπούτο την Τετάρτη ακολουθώντας μια μυστηριώδη καμπάνια με υπονοούμενα που υποδηλώνουν την επιστροφή της μπάντας του Neptunes.

Ο bounce ρυθμός επικρατεί σε όλη τη διάρκεια του κομματιού με τον Pharrell να ραπάρει με old school ύφος και την Riri να παίρνει την σκυτάλη και να κάνει αυτό που ξέρει καλύτερα από κάθε άλλη RnB τραγουδίστρια, απογειώνοντας για ακόμη μια φορά με την Sexy ερμηνεία της ένα κομμάτι.

Το βίντεο των Todd Tourso και Scott Cudmore ξεκινάει με την Rihanna να ξυρίζει το κεφάλι μιας γυναίκας σε ένα δωμάτιο ξενοδοχείου. Πρόκειται για την γνωστή χορεύτρια και χρόνια συνεργάτη του Pharrell, «Mette Towley» η οποία πρωταγωνιστεί σε όλη την διάρκεια του “Lemon” και καλήγει να χορεύει μέσα σε μια σκοτεινή εμπορική στοά.

Είναι ένα χτύπημα μετά από καιρό για την πολυαγαπημένη μπάντα των N.E.R.D. που στο κίτρινο εξώφυλλο τονίζει: No-one Ever Really Dies που ταιριάζει απόλυτα στα αρχικά τους (N.E.R.D.) και ίσως αποτελεί ένα μήνυμα επιστροφής του super group.
