Η ανερχόμενη star Tate McRae παρουσιάζει το single της “you broke me first” από το επερχόμενο EP της. Η δυναμική μπαλάντα είναι η πιο προσωπική δουλειά της μέχρι στιγμής και περνάει τις συγγραφικές ικανότητές της Tate στο επόμενο επίπεδο.

Η Tate δήλωσε για το τραγούδι: “Το συγκεκριμένο track είναι πολύ ιδιαίτερο για εμένα. Μιλάει για έναν άνθρωπο που έδειχνε αδιαφορία σε μία σχέση και 6 μήνες μετά αποφάσισε να γυρίσει πίσω. Είναι το συναίσθημα που ξέρεις πόσα πολλά σήμαινε για εσένα, αλλά αυτή την φορά δεν τον αφήνεις μπει πάλι στην ζωή σου. Ελπίζω όλοι να μπορέσουν να συνδεθούν με αυτό το τραγούδι όσο κι εγώ”.

Τον Φεβρουάριο, η Tate ανακοινώθηκε ως μία από τις καλλιτέχνιδες του YouTube Music Artist on the Rise, ένα πρόγραμμα του YouTube που αναδεικνύει ανερχόμενους stars που θα απασχολήσουν την μουσική σκηνή. Επίσης συμμετέχει στο τραγούδι της SAYGRACE “Boys Ain’t Shit” με την Audrey Mika.

Η τραγουδίστρια κυκλοφόρησε το debut EP της τον Ιανουάριο με τίτλο “all the things I never said” και περιλαμβάνει tracks όπως το “stupid”, το “tear myself apart”, το “all my friends are fake” και το “that way”. To EP έχει ήδη συγκεντρώσει πάνω από 130 εκατομμύρια streams και πολλά από τα τραγούδια του βρέθηκαν σε σημαντικές playlistsτων ψηφιακών πλατφορμών.

H Tate συνεχίζει να λαμβάνει σημαντική υποστήριξη από μέσα όπως το Fader, το TheInterns.net, το Idolator και το E!. Επίσης έχει συμπεριληφθεί σε εκδόσεις όπως το Elite Daily, το LADYGUN, το i-D, το Wonderland, το NME, το Ones To Watch, το Sunday Times Culture, το 1883, το tmrw magazine, το Billboard και άλλα. Η sold out περιοδεία της πέρασε από πόλεις όπως η Νέα Υόρκη, το Σικάγο, το Τορόντο, το Λονδίνο, το Βερολίνο και το Άμστερνταμ.
